When sowing, cover the seeds with 1/8 to 1/4″ fine soil, keep soil moist for about a week, seeds would usually germinate within 4-7 days. For green thumb, cover the soil with clear poly for 5-10 days to to keep soil moist, to speed up germination and protect from spring frost damage. In ideal planting condition, harvesting 30-50 pounds of A Choy is possible, especially with transplanting method. Thin out the crowded area after 3-4 weeks and enjoy them as baby lettuce. At maturity, instead of uproot each plant, you can pinch off outer leaves for continuous harvest for many weeks. This culinary leafy veggie is great for stir fry, pickling or boiled and top with oyster sauce. The main stalks are very crispy and tasty. Need more seeds? 1-OZ jumbo packet has 20,000+ seeds.
